VH1 is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer with experience with web and mobile web,

but will primarily focus on our app products.

You will be working on an interdisciplinary team, focused on defining solutions for our organization's app needs.

You should have exceptional visual skills - impeccable sensibility for color, typography, layout - combined with smart and useable interaction design experience. We follow a user centered and research based design process and expect candidates to have experience doing rapid iterations of prototyping and user testing.

Role Responsibilities:



* Translate business and product requirements into an engaging and appealing user experience

* Design and maintain UI architecture across a variety of platforms

* Develop conceptual sketches, prototypes, and visual mockups

* Collaborate with visual designers, product developers and software developers to derive the most optimal solution

* Present design ideas and concepts to executives, interpret feedback and define next step solutions

* Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to initiate changes that drive usage and enhance user experience



Role Requirements:



* Experience with prototyping - paper, html/css/jquery, or any method that gets the idea defined quickly and effectively

* Minimum of 5+ years of interactive design experience

* Knowledge and experience with the most current thinking regarding responsive design

* Experience working in a software development cycle

* Knowledge of usability principles and techniques

* Expert at creating mockups and styleguides that a developer can understand

* A strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions and strong visual design sense

* Experience with managing multiple projects

* Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent UX



Desired:



* Ideally an app that you worked on for one of the major platforms that we can download and try (iOS, android, Xbox, etc.)Very organized and meticulous with tasks

* Working knowledge of an agile development process and enjoy close collaboration

* Know the work of many of the following: Jared Spool, Luke Wroblewski, Don Norman, Edward Tufte, Oliver Reichenstein, Khoi Vihn and/or Doug Bowman
